Clay Guida’s fight will not air on UFC on Fox

One of the fight that you expect to see in UFC on Fox will not be aired and it’s Guida and Bendo title eliminator in the lightweight division.

The decorated fighter Clay Guida seems not affected with this move since UFC doesn’t have anything to do with this arrangement. Team Guida believes that it’s FOX’s call , where the network don’t believe on Guida’s media power which is very understandable.

But with the changes in the airtime, Guida is now more motivated than before and he want to show his upmost performance in his UFC career and beat Ben Henderson.

And Clay Guida’s rep said that “Clay’s going to have people wish they could have seen it on FOX,” John Fosco.

UFC 137 : Series of Unfortunate events, Nick Diaz Dominates as BJ Penn Retires

UFC 137 happened few days ago but still the hype is in the air, the main event of UFC 137 should be George St. Pierre against Nick Diaz but unfortunately things go in other way. GSP got Carlos Condit instead of the MMA bad boy and Diaz is now set to face BJ Penn.

Unfortunate things happen before the big event, GSP got injured his back and now the title fight between GSP and Condit was scrapped. It is now Diaz against Penn for the main event.

In the result of Diaz-Penn battle, the returning fighter Nick Diaz showed how dominating he is. He battered BJ Penn starting from the last minute of the first round until the end of round 3. This is the first time we saw BJ Penn got beat up in that way.

In the end Nick Diaz got the win via unanimous decision and BJ Penn seems looking to retire as he hinted in the interview after the fight.

Dana White is not keen on BJ Penn’s statement but for sure he will comeback but in the lower division.

Nick Diaz on the other hand, calls for GSP and says that the welterweight title is not really injured , GSP is just scared to fight everyone.

Recently Fox released the very first UFC on Fox video trailer. It’s now less than a month and it seems that UFC and Fox is making a huge buzz on their team up.

Last Sunday Fox slated UFC along with the NFL football games that day.

UFC on Fox promotes this theme “Baddest Man on the Planet.”

The very first event in Fox will headline two of the top heavyweights in the division and it is for the UFC heavyweight championship title. The new crowned champion Cain Velasquez will be facing the number one challenger Junior Dos Santos and it will be go for five-round title fight.

The said UFC on Fox event also includes a sure classic match between Ben Henderson and Clay Guida for the lightweight division.

Dana White : Silva-Sonnen 2 will happen ASAP

The UFC president Dana White is set to make the rematch between Silva and Sonnen as soon as possible. After Chael Sonnen won against Brian Stann proved last night that he is completely back and ready to face Anderson Silva for the middleweight title.

Sonnen convincingly dominated the All American hero Brian Stann and on his winning speech he calls out Anderson Silva for a rematch.. Chael Sonnen shouted “Anderson Silva, you absolutely suck,” and added “Super Bowl weekend, the biggest rematch in the history of the business. I’m calling you out Silva, but we’re upping the stakes. I beat you, you leave the division. You beat me, I will leave the UFC forever.”

In the post-fight conference , Dana White was asked if there’s a chance to use the hype between Silva and Sonnen for the next upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, but the president clearly want to settle this two fighter and he committed that he want to make the fight as soon as possible and added that Silva and Sonnen will not be a coach for TUF.

UFC 139′s headliner Wanderlei Silva predicts victory against Cung Le (Video)

UFC veteran Wanderlei Silva is pumped up with his match against the MMA veteran and new UFC roster Cung Le. The two fighter will be meeting inside the cage in UFC 139 as one of the headliner of the said event. On this video , Wanderlei predicts a win and early knock out against Cung Le. But many people are in doubt with his performance becauase with Silva’s last eight outings in the cage, the Axe Murderer only won 2 fights.

Cung Le on the other hand is not rookie inside the MMA ring, Le is a respectable fighter inside and out of the organization. We are waiting for this moment to see Cung Le inside UFC’s octagon and now it is his chance to shine and prove that he is one of the top tier fighter in the middleweight division. But first he need to get past Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva in UFC 139 this November 19, 2011.

TUF 13 Finale Results : Clay Guida defeats Anthony Pettis

I’m one of the impressed MMA fans when Anthony Pettis knocked down Ben Henderson in the last title fight in WEC. As the UFC and WEC emerge, Pettis is one of the most talked fighter that expect to do a great job in the octagon. But well,it didn’t turn out like that.

The Carpenter Guida shows how tough he is and displayed a well built wrestling background. Anthony Pettis was taken for number of times which gave Clay Guida a chance of defeating Pettis on the ground.

The fight ended in favor of Clay Guida with a unanimous yet entertaining fight.

So what’s next for Clay Guida? Is he the next contender for the title in his division?
