UFC 137 happened few days ago but still the hype is in the air, the main event of UFC 137 should be George St. Pierre against Nick Diaz but unfortunately things go in other way. GSP got Carlos Condit instead of the MMA bad boy and Diaz is now set to face BJ Penn.
Unfortunate things happen before the big event, GSP got injured his back and now the title fight between GSP and Condit was scrapped. It is now Diaz against Penn for the main event.
In the result of Diaz-Penn battle, the returning fighter Nick Diaz showed how dominating he is. He battered BJ Penn starting from the last minute of the first round until the end of round 3. This is the first time we saw BJ Penn got beat up in that way.
In the end Nick Diaz got the win via unanimous decision and BJ Penn seems looking to retire as he hinted in the interview after the fight.
Dana White is not keen on BJ Penn’s statement but for sure he will comeback but in the lower division.
Nick Diaz on the other hand, calls for GSP and says that the welterweight title is not really injured , GSP is just scared to fight everyone.
